Classically trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama (MMus Solo cello: Distinction), Zosia Jagodzinska has forged a reputation as an exceptionally skilled and versatile musician with a distinctive creative voice.

 

As a cellist she has toured internationally and performed in major concert venues with world class artists including Djrum, Lisa Hannigan, stargaze, Phronesis, Femi Temowo, Fini Bearman, Jherek Bischoff and Amanda Palmer. 

 

Her expressive and atmospheric solo improvisations and string arrangements can be heard on critically acclaimed records by Djrum, Bicep, The Naked Eye, Equal Spirits, The Dissolute Society, Fini Bearman and Isaac Birituro and The Rail Abandon. 

 

Her songwriting has been described as ‘haunting, beguiling… ‘full of great depth, power and integrity.’ (The Progressive Aspect) and she is a featured vocalist and songwriter on Dan Samsa’s ambitious ‘Contours’.  

 

As a composer she has enjoyed working closely with  choreographers, film directors and theatre makers to bring their visions to life on stage and in film.

 

Zosia wrote the lyrics and music for The Adventures of Madame Carol Sell and Mr Popsy.
